The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 places a legal responsibility on employers to ensure that electrical appliances and systems used within the workplace under their control are safe and suitable for use. It is of the upmost importance that all companies have routine Inspection & Testing done on all electrical equipment and systems.

Smart PAT – Portable Appliance Testing

Health & Safety Executive (HSE) reports have indicated that 25% of all reportable electrical accidents involve portable appliances. The main reason for PAT is to prove there is/is not any breakdown of the Earth within the casing of an appliance. Portable Appliance Testing is carried out annually to ensure the safe working of all portable electrical and electronic appliances.
